What do families and students have to say about Mark Your Mark?

What is Make Your Mark?

“Make Your Mark!” is a series of free Saturday morning “making” camps for 4th-8th grade students in Buncombe County Schools. The camps will run from 9am – 12pm on the following dates in 2024: March 16th, March 23rd, April 13th, April 20th, April 27th, and May 4th.

Through these camps, students will learn about a variety of design and craft fields, including electronic music, weaving, board game design, and printmaking, as they work together and individually to make their own t-shirts, musical instruments, board games, and more. The camps will combine field trips, input from experts and educators, and hands-on making.

Students will reinforce their math and reading skills, while they develop the core skill set of collaborative problem solving that spans professions and design fields.

These camps are free for all Buncombe County Schools’ students, and lunch is included.
