The Team Shocker Story: An Exhibit That Moves
Can a racing team from the past inspire the problem solvers of the future?
In 1994, a team of students, teachers, and partners from northeastern North Carolina came together to compete in the first Electric Vehicle Grand Prix. Their challenge: convert a gas-powered car to electric-power and compete against other teams in events to test endurance, speed, agility, knowledge, and teamwork. They shocked everyone by winning the first event in Richmond, Virginia, and continuing to win national and even international competitions. Help us inspire the next generation to shock the world through an interactive exhibit that will live in downtown Jackson, North Carolina and also travel to schools and events.
