What's the Community Learning Expo?
Every spring, the RootEd community of teachers, students, and partners gathers to celebrate and showcase how they’ve worked together to solve challenges in their communities. We invite local students, teachers, and community members to learn about their work.
For this year’s event we are partnering with RootEd teacher, Sarah Carson, and her students at Rosman High School as they release 100 baby troutlings into the French Broad River!
In addition to the trout release event, RootEd teachers and partners from across WNC will be showcasing their work.
Opportunities for Teachers and Students of All Ages
Teachers and students, have you worked on a community-connected project this school year? Maybe you built a garden for pollinators, created a podcast about local history, built a nature trail, or created a marketing video for a local business.
We invited you to the RootEd Community Learning Expo to showcase your work, learn about what other teachers and students are doing, and engage with community members. Takeaways and short, fun activities for students of all ages are encouraged!
Sponsorship and Vendor Opportunities
Nonprofits, companies, and experts that share our passion for community-connected learning are invited to showcase their organization, and support RootEd’s work in bringing community-connected learning to students across NC. Gold – $500
Your logo and link to your website on the event webpage. Logo or name displayed at beginning of Expo highlight video. Dedicated social media post. Vendor/activity table.
Silver – $250
Your logo and link to your website on event webpage. Logo or name displayed at end of Expo highlight video. Vendor/activity table.
Bronze – $150
Logo and link to sponsor website on event webpage. Vendor/activity table.
Details About Payment and Funds
All sponsorship dollars will go to supporting community-connected learning experiences for students across North Carolina. The nonprofit, Southern Conservation Partners, serves as the fiscal sponsor for RootEd. You can contribute directly through the button above, or email Jay Korreck at jkorreck@constructiveld.org if you would like to pay via check.
